Big Blue Swim School’s Journey with State Chemical
Big Blue Swim School, located in Naperville, IL, teaches kids from three months to twelve years old how to swim.
After they first opened, Big Blue Swim School tended to purchase chemical products from sources like Amazon, Walmart, or Costco. However, they quickly found that this took time away from more important tasks for their facility.
Service Setup with State Chemical
By chance, Rachael Roth met a State Chemical representative at an event. The representative explained what products and services State Chemical provided. Roth said, “I was sold right there.”
The next day, the representative visited their facility for a site survey, gathering information about what their facility needed and what State Chemical products could be used. The day after that, the representative set Big Blue Swim School up with chemicals and a chemical dilution system and trained staff on how to use it.
“It’s very simple,” Roth explained, “but it was very helpful for him to kind of explain what product to use and where.”
Commercial Cleaning Solutions
Before working with State Chemical, Big Blue Swim School was used to seeing a sticky, greasy pool deck. But they received a solution for their cleaning machine that eliminated the grease and stickiness and didn’t leave streaks behind.
Working with State Chemical also enabled them to solve other issues. For example, Big Blue Swim School originally used a glass cleaner that worked okay but tended to miss spots. Their State Chemical representative recommended In-Sight, and Roth described it as “phenomenal,” explaining that they decided to stick with it ever since.
When initially considering State Chemical, Roth was confident in the product, but she did have some reservations.
She explained, “Originally, when I looked at the price, you know, obviously, we all have Amazon—you kind of compare—so I was a little worried. But I knew I wanted to give them a chance just based off of everything they provided outside of just the chemical price, and it definitely is worth it because over time, I have seen us go through less product because of the dilution systems that they have and also just how well their product works. All in all, it might seem like it is pricier, but you do have a cost savings in the end.”
The Impact on Business
Not only have employees seen a difference but customers have too.
Roth said, “Also, one thing we’ve noticed: we do get a lot of praise from our customers of how clean our facility is, so it’s great to see that not only do our employees enjoy using the products—it's easy to use, all that—but the customers notice a difference as well.”
Big Blue Swim Schools was so satisfied with their products that after a few months, they decided to start using them in their Glendale Heights location as well. And State Chemical has been servicing both facilities ever since.
Roth emphasized the value of always having chemicals appropriately stocked to keep their facilities clean. “Not only are the chemicals high quality: the service is high quality,” Roth explained. “And all in all, you will not go wrong with going with State Chemical.”
