Product Description

  • State® Tempest™ is a non-chlorinated, non-foaming alkaline cleaner recommended for pan and tray washing, CIP cleaning, pressure and foam cleaning, self-cleaning hoods and for use in automatic scrubbers. This versatile formulation is effective against a wide range of stubborn soils including, carbon, fat based soils, grease and oil. Tempest quickly attacks the soil and converts it to a rinseable consistency allowing it to be rinsed away easily. Developed with low foaming surfactants to eliminate worries when used through CIP, automatic scrubbers or pan spray washing machines. State Tempest is NSF certified as a general cleaner (A1) for use in Federally inspected meat and poultry plants. The NSF certification assures inspection officials that the product formulation and label meet the appropriate food safety regulations. CFIA listed as a general cleaner in food plants.

Directions for Use

For use in food plants: Food contact surfaces are to be rinsed with potable water before re·use.

Pan and Tray Washing: Add 1/4 to 2 ounces per gallon of water. Product may be injected into automatic dish machines or added manually to wash water.

CIP Cleaning: Flush system with water. Dilute 4-8 ounces per gallon of water, depending on degree of soil. For best results, warm solution to 130°F - 170°F. Circulate through system until soils are removed. Drain system and rinse with potable water.

Pressure & Steam Cleaning: Dilute 1 to 3 ounces per gallon of water, depending on degree of soil. Apply solution to soiled surfaces; agitate if necessary, rinse with potable water.

Self-Cleaning Hoods: Dilute 12 to 36 ounces per gallon of water. Circulate through system per manufacture’s instructions, rinse with potable water.

Foam Cleaning: Dilute 1 to 3 ounces per gallon of water, depending on degree of soil. Add foam additive to use solution per label instructions. Apply solution to soiled surfaces; agitate
if necessary, rinse with potable water.

General Cleaning: Dilute 2 to 6 ounces per gallon of water, depending on degree of soil. Apply solution to soiled surfaces; agitate if necessary, rinse with potable water.

Automatic Scrubber: Dilute 1 to 3 ounces per gallon of water, depending on degree of soil. Scrub floor with automatic scrubber. Rinse thoroughly with potable water. Use caution on
aluminum, galvanized metals or painted surfaces
